A Qualitative Analysis on the Response Characteristics of the Rosebush Visualization Technique in Specialized High School Students

Abstract
This study is to find out whether the rose bush visualization technique (RVT) is available in the school counseling field. We tried to find out what specialized high school students perceive and talk about their condition and environment through RVT. The participants in this study were 7 boys and 19 girls in the 1st grade of specialized high school. The data were collected through RVT tests and interviews from September 2021 to November 2021. For data analysis, qualitative content analysis was conducted by applying the inductive approach of Elo and Kyng?s(2008). While reading the transcribed data, various semantic units were organized around the contents of their statements, and the semantic structure was identified by grouping repeated data. As a result, five essential topics and 14 sub-topics were derived. The essential theme is , , , , appeared as. As described above, RVT showed the psychological environment of families, schools, and individuals perceived by students of specialized high schools. Using these research results as basic research, it can be used as basic data for future research on the validity of RVT.
